Ok, details – the first letter of the word is not capital, so i make it capital and it should become small from the next letter of the word (example – Toy) but it stays capital (example TOY) and I have to manually turn it small.
In T9 when entering symbols the cursor automatically resets to the start of the paragraph
I hope that explains it, if you have doubt on anything please ask me.

I think all S60 V5 smartphones will be facing this T9 problem.

Also reproduced on 5800 XM. This goes for both problems described.
The problem of the symbols also appears when predictive text is disabled.

  • Owner set to jokalli2
  • Status changed from new to assigned

Thanks for the reports and details, this will be investigated next week. My fear is that this is Qt specific bug and thus hard for us to fix. But let's see.

Noticed the symbol problem also in N95. The capital problem is not repro on N95

  • Summary changed from T9 usage in N97 problematic to T9 problems in N95/N97

Changed title to reflect that problem is also in N95:

A bit sad that you can’t use the T9 dictionary while editing entries (the text disappears again), but I assume that’s already on the road map?
